Dr D WIlson (m)

Qualifications: LRCP, MRCS

Senior Partner

Dr Wilson is the Senior Partner and lead GP at Grove House Practice. He is a Governing Body Member for the CCG, Chairman of GP federation (GP Health Connect), sits on the LMC committee and also stands as a GP representative for One Halton.

Dr L Brown (f)

Qualifications: MBChB, MRCGP, DFSRH

Partner & GP Trainer

Dr Brown joined the practice in Sept 2014. She graduated from Manchester University and carried out her GP training in South Manchester. She previously worked in Greater Manchester before joining this practice. She has an interest in teaching and female health.

Dr Manesso (f)

Qualifications: MD, MRCGP

Partner

Graduated at the of Padau in Italy, Completed Post Graduate training here in the North West, has a special interest in minor surgery.

Dr Jessica Wright (f)

Qualifications: MBChB, MRCGP, DCH and FSRH

Partner

Dr Wright is a GP Partner with a special interest in Paediatrics and Family Planning and holds diplomas in both of these areas. She qualified from Manchester University in 2008.

Dr V Williams (nee Rees) (f)

Qualifications: MBChB, MRCGP, BMedSci, DRCOG, DFSRH, PGDip PwSI (Cardiology)

Salaried GP

Dr Williams’ special interests include women’s health and mental health.

Dr C Allen (f)

Qualifications: MBBS, MRCGP

Salaried GP

Dr Allen is a familiar face at the Practice but is now semi-retired. She is a Salaried GP and runs limited sessions.

Dr Rhian Thomas (f)

Qualifications: MBChB(hons) MRCGP DCH DRCOG

Salaried GP

Dr Thomas is a salaried GP and Cancer Lead Macmillan GP for Halton Clinical Commissioning Group.

Dr Mark Guirguis (m)

Qualifications: MBChB MRCGP

Salaried GP

Dr Mark Guirguis is a Full-time Salaried GP who previously trained at Grove House Practice. He graduated in 2014 from the University of Liverpool and has an interest in teaching.

Dr Elspeth Giles (f)

Qualifications: MBBS MRCGP DRCOG

Dr Giles has recently joined the Practice and her interests are in CKD, Gynaecology and Orthopaedics.

Amy Jones (f)

Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Amy is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and has a background of working in Accident and Emergency and Urgent Care/minor injuries in the North West. She is an independent Non-medical Prescriber and can manage a range of acute and chronic illness in adults and children. She can order investigations and refer onto secondary care if needed.

Petra Hawthorn (f)

Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Petra has worked within healthcare for the past 9 years. During this time she has carried out various roles based within residential settings, community and hospital based. Her most recent employment has been hospital based, providing emergency and lifesaving care to those in need. As a new member of the team here at Grove, Petra will be progressing through several additional qualifications to enable her to provide high quality care and education to patients both with long term health conditions and also to provide screening and prevention based care.

Karen Histon (f)

Practice Nurse

Karen has been a Practice Nurse at Grove House Practice for 23 years. She works Tuesday-Friday, is the Lead in CHD, is the Smear Mentor for the Practice and amongst other clinics also runs Family Planning Clinics and Baby Immunisation Clinics.

Practice Nurse

Catherine’s background is in District Nursing, where she gained knowledge in chronic disease management, complex wound care and palliative care. She has been in the NHS for 12 years. She enjoys empowering patients to gain knowledge of their own health, believes supporting and treating patients in an individualised, compassionate and caring manner.

Gemma Farr (f)

Practice Nurse

Gemma has been a qualified nurse for 10 years, before she came to Grove house, she worked in the hospice and more recently the hospital. She has worked within the medical care of the elderly ward and she is looking forward to sharing her knowledge while learning new skills at Grove.

Nicola Webster (f)

Nurse Associate

Nicola has worked for the Practice for many years now as part of our Reception Team, but last year progressed to become a Nurse Associate.

Dianne Richardson (f)

Healthcare Assistant

Dianne is an Experienced HCA and has worked for 10 years with the Community Matron service. She was a Senior Carer within residential setting for many years for Social services and the private sector. Dianne enjoys supporting all different health needs and she is looking forward to sharing this within the practice.
